10th  Premier Nutrition Confederation Park 5k, 2k

                                       In Support of the Arthritis Society

Location: Confederation Park, Hamilton

Race times:  2k – 9:30 a.m.  5k – 10 a.m.

Race Day Registration and Race Kit Pick up: 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at the Edge Water pavilion in the park

Points- The 5k is a points race

 

Directions: Confederation park in Hamilton  is  65 kilometers from Toronto,80 kilometers from Guelph, 75 kilometers from Niagara Falls and 60 miles from Buffalo.

  • QEW Centennial Parkway in Hamilton
  • North on Centennial Parkway to Service Rd.
  • Turn left on Service Rd. to Confederation Park

 

Parking: inside Confederation Park.

Prize money: 1st overall -$200, 2nd overall - $150, 3rd overall - $100   top master - $50

New- Awards to take place at the Beaches Grill and Licensed Patio. A 200 metre walk from the Finish Line. Great food, beverage and fun.

 

 Awards:  To  1,2,3 overall top master and  3 deep in 5yr age groups from 14 and under to 70+

 

Sub 20 Club: Men who run under 20 minutes and women who run under 22 minutes will receive a custom made medal to recognize their accomplishment.    

 

 2k – No Awards. This is a fun run meant to encourage a healthy lifestyle.

 

Charity Challenge-  Runners will have the opportunity to raise funds for  The Arthritis Society.

The Arthritis Society is Canada’s principal arthritis health charity dedicated to funding and promoting arthritis education, research-based solutions and community-based support. The Society empowers the nearly 4.5 million Canadians with arthritis, 1.8 million in Ontario alone, to live their lives to the fullest by combating the daily limitations of arthritis. In the last 60 years, The Society has invested $160 million towards arthritis research to develop better treatments and, ultimately, find a cure.

5k runners who pre register by April 25th will receive a technical race t shirt. Pre Registration will close on
