The Jewell of the Subaru of Hamilton Niagara Running Series

Date: Tuesday June 26^th, 2012

Location: Grimsby Peach King Centre 162 Livingston Ave. Grimsby, On L3M 4G3

Race times: 1k – 6:30p.m. 5k – 7:00 p.m. 10k - 7:30 p.m.

Race Day Registration and Race Kit Pick up: 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Peach King Centre. Those registered in the 1k and 5k should pick up their race kits as early as possible. At close of kit pick up race kits become the property of In Stride Productions Ltd.

Directions: QEW to Casablanca Blvd. South (Away from the lake) on Casablanca Blvd. to Livingston Ave. Turn left on Livingston Ave. 1 k to the Peach King Centre http://www.arenamaps.com/arenas/1693.htm

Parking: There is parking at the Peach King Centre – When this lot is full there is parking at Blessed Trinity Secondary School 300 meters East of the Peach King Centre. If you Park on side streets please avoid Roberts Road between Livingston and Regional 81 as this is the 5k race route.

1k – the 1k starts and finishes in the finish are and runs out 500 meters and returns to the finish line.

Awards Ceremony: The awards ceremony for both the 5k and the 10k will take place at approximately 8:30 p.m. Please be there to pick up your award or have someone else pick it up for you. Awards will not be mailed out.

10k Finishers Medals: First 100 finishers Gold, 101 to 200 Silver, 201+ Bronze

1k Awards: No Awards. This is a fun run meant to encourage a healthy lifestyle.

5k Awards: 1,2,3 overall and 3 deep in 5 yr age groups 14 and under to 70+

5k Sub 20 Club: Runners who run under 20 minutes will receive a custom made medal to recognize their accomplishment.

10k Awards: 1,2,3 overall top master , 3 deep in 5yr age groups from 19 and under to 70+

Subaru Of Hamilton Niagara Running Series: Points will be awarded 10 deep in each race in each category towards the series championships. Awards will be presented to 1,2,3 overall top master and 3 deep in each 5yr age group from 14 and under to 70+. ** Note – there are no points in half marathons or 10k races for the 14 and under category.

Total Points at the end of the series wins. The series awards ceremony, date, time and place to be determined.

Double Points Races: Grimsby Half, Peachbud 10k, Twenty Valley 10k, Twenty Valley Half, Grapes Half, Classic 8k,

Point Races: Grimsby 3k, Jordan 5k, Confederation 5k, Peachbud 5k, Twenty Valley 5k, Twenty Valley 3k, Bench 5k, Grapes 5k, Classic 3k .

You can make a donation to the foundation when entering or sign up to gather pledges if you like. Please support our hospital. Last year runners raised over $24,000 for the foundation’s project X Ray.

Course Safety: For everyone’s safety no strollers, dogs or bicycles on the course please. We also strongly recommend that you do not wear headphones while participating.
